Martin Luther King Jr. once said: "Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?"
Our relief sector thrives thanks to a team of dedicated field officers and volunteers who implement and carry out projects to provide shelter, energy, food, and basic assistance to individuals and families residing in more than 22 camps in Mid and West Beka’a, as well as Tripoli.
We ensure that every person in the community is supported in the harshest season of the year in the camps. Every winter, each family in our communities receives a winterization kit, including carpets, blankets, and warm clothes, in addition to firewood and fuel. Those items are sometimes purchased, but usually collected through our yearly Winter Campaigns through the generosity of our supporters and members. Since 2015, we were able to involve hundreds of volunteers in the Winter Campaigns to support about 70,000 individuals. We distributed more than 1,100 tons of firewood, benefiting around 65,000 individuals, as well as blankets to 15,000 individuals, and heaters to keep 1000 individuals warm.
