We at Sawa for Development and Aid believe in the power of one person when it comes to social change and progress.
And that is why we focus on all people from all groups in order for them to follow and realize their dreams.
WHAT WE DO
We carry out projects to provide shelter, energy, food, and basic assistance to individuals & families.
We provide holistic education for around 670 children aged between 13-17 across 3 different learning centers.
We aim to facilitate the access to the labor market. And train people to become more productive.
We run medical assessments, awareness campaigns, and training opportunities.
We introduced a new Policy, Research, and Advocacy department to further Sawa's impact globally.
Sawa for Development and Aid is a Civil Society Organisation (CSO) initially founded in December 2011 as a spontaneous response in December to the arrival of the first 40 Syrian families displaced from Syria into the North of Lebanon.
Our vision is of Syrians supporting one another to build a just, civic, and democratic Syria.
Sawa, “Together”, we provide holistic and integrated support to individuals, through sharing skills, knowledge, and resources; encouraging each other to self-organize to build strong and vocal communities; fostering networks of solidarity; and mobilizing for collective action at local and international levels.
